class="has-medium-font-size">The drumstick or horseradish tree grown in India, Southeast Asia, Africa grow it.

Nutrition: leaves contain 7 times Vitamin C than oranges, 4 times the calcium of milk, 4 times the vitamin A of carrots, 3 times the potassium of bananas.

It has all 9 amino acids making it a complete protein.

When heat spikes the tree puts out more leaves. It is a pioneer species designed to be the first thing to grow in hostile, ruined environments. It has a deep tap root that accesses water tables that vegetable plants cannot reach. The leaves cellular structures minimizes water loss and maximizes photosynthesis in direct sun.

Complications? Why isn’t it everywhere? Moringa leaves are fragile once they are picked. Our food system prioritizes vegetables that can survive for 3 weeks on a shelf. Moringa is sold as a powder supplement.

Moringa is not frost hearty. So how to solve this? Grow it as an annual in a cold climate. It will reach 10 to 15 feet in the summer. Treat it like peppers or tomatoes. Start the large seeds indoors and soak them for 24 hours. Plant them in deep pots. They throw down a tap root immediately. They need depth. Transplant them in full, hot sun in the summer. Don’t over-water them. In containers use a fast draining potting mix. Use a large container and the plant can be brought indoors before frost and kept in a sunny room all winter. You can move it back outside when the soil warms the following spring. It goes semi dormant, drops some leaves and then comes back hard.

In warmer climates by August you will have a towering green shrub. When the tree is about 4ft tall take sharp pruning shears and cut the main trunk in half. It thrives on central pruning and it will aggressively push out lateral branches. It becomes a bush instead of a bean pole and produces exponentially more leaves. It keeps them at harvest height. Harvest leaves continuously from July until the first frost.

You are growing a vitamin plant in the space of a zucchini plant. Every part of this plant down to the seed is doing something functional. The leaves are incredible, the drought tolerance is incredible. When the tree matures it produces long pods that look like drumsticks. Inside are seeds. Take mature dry moringa seeds, crush them into a powder and mix that powder into a bucket of dirty, turbid, bacteria laden water the seed powder containing naturally occurring cationic proteins that act as coagulant. They bind to suspended particles, the dirt, the algae and the bacteria in the water.

They clump together into heavy masses called flocks and sink to the bottom of the bucket. Within an hour murky brown water becomes visually clear. Studies from agricultural universities and environmental organizations have confirmed that crushed moringa seeds can remove between 90 and 99% of the bacteria in untreated water.

One tree that feeds you, survives drought and purifies your drinking water this is the difference between life and death for communities without water purification systems. I found the original UN agricultural reports to confirm the data. That is when the anger set in. We have entire industries dedicated to chemical water purification. We have massive agricultural sectors dependent on synthetic fertilizers and pesticides to keep wheat crops alive.

The moringa tree is a biological system that does the heavy lifting for free. You can boil Moringa leaves in water like you would spinach. Boiling destroys a significant portion of vitamin C and the delicate enzymes. If you want to extract the maximum possible valuable nutrition from this plant you dry it…not in the sun because UV light strips the Vitamin A and degrades the betacarotine within hours.

Dry moringa in the shade. Tie the branches in bundles and hang them in a dark, warm, well ventilated room such as garage or a dry basement. In a few days the leaves crisp up and are still a vibrant dark emerald green. Once they are dry, strip them from the branches…it takes seconds. Crush them into a fine powder. That powder is shelf stable for months. You can add a spoonful to soups, smoothies or oatmeal in the dead of winter for massive nutrition.

This specific shade drying technique is the difference in having a jar of dead plant matter or a jar of bioavailable nutrition. You can grow a better version in your garden than a single expensive seed packet purchased from overseas.

Instead of spraying for aphids, pulling weeds, watering in the ‘war of garden attrition’ do what those who cultivated moringa plants for years. They didn’t fight the system; they worked within it. They found the plants that wanted to live.

Moringa is what we found when we looked at tropical dry land trees. It is one plant out of thousands. It can purify water and has complete protein.

You can find Moringa seedlings and seeds on Amazon and seeds at True Leaf Market:

https://trueleafmarket.com/products/moringa-seeds

How to Care for a Moringa Tree

Moringa trees are relatively easy to care for, but there are a few things you need to know to keep them healthy.

Soil

Moringa trees prefer well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. You can use a balanced fertilizer, such as 10-10-10, or a fertilizer specifically formulated for moringa trees.

Pests and diseases

Moringa trees are generally resistant to pests and diseases, but they can occasionally be affected by aphids, mealy bugs, and whiteflies. You can control these pests with insecticidal soap or neem oil. Moringa trees can also be affected by root rot, which is caused by overwatering. To prevent root rot, make sure the soil is well-drained and do not overwater the tree.

Harvesting and Using Moringa

Moringa leaves, pods, seeds, and oil can all be used in a variety of ways.

Leaves

Moringa leaves are a good source of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Don’t have to over prune.

Cut Electric Energy Bills

18 ft. 14 gauge copper wire

Small iron core you can pull out of an old transformer, microwave or buy at a salvage yard.

Wind the copper coil around the iron in a specific pattern 200 turns clockwise and 50 turns counter-clockwise at the end. Connect the two leads to the neutral and ground bars inside a junction box near your main panel. That is it. See example at 6.28 min.

When energized current from the grid passes through the vicinity of this coil, the coil generates a small opposing magnetic field that pushes the reactive current back into useful alignment with the working portion. The meter sees less total draw. The appliances receive cleaner, more efficient current and every light bulb, heating element in your house begins doing what it was actually designed to do instead of fighting against wasted cycles.

Every commercial building in America larger that 20K sq. ft. has a compensation system exactly like this built into its electrical room. It is called power factor correction. It is mandatory for commercial customers because the utility companies charge them an extra fee if their power factor drops below 92%. Residential customers are never told about this. They are billed on current apparent power with the reactive load included.

Installation takes less than 90 minutes, requires no permits, no inspection, no contractor and no modification to the existing wiring. You are not cutting into your walls or rewiring your house. You are adding one small device to a junction box that already exists near your main panel.

Here is What You Do:

Turn off the main breaker

Open the junction box closest to your main panel. It could be in the basement in older homes within 6 feet of the meter or in a utility closet on the ground floor. Identify the neutral bus bar and the neutral bus bar. These are the 2 thick strips of metal where all the white wires and the bare copper wires are attached.

Take your compensation coil that you have already wound with the 18 feet of 14 gauge copper around the iron core and connect one lead to an unused lug on the neutral bar and the other lead to an unused lug on the ground bar.

Tuck the coil into the bottom of the junction box and close the box.

Turn the main breaker back on. You are done.

Adding this is not code regulated.

Secondary resonance loop is a smaller secondary coil looped with 6 ft. of the same 14 gauge copper wire around a smaller iron core about the size of a shot glass.

Wind this one with 100 turns in a single direction clockwise.

Do not connect it to the neutral or ground bars.

Connect it in series with the main compensation coil you already installed.

Place it inside the same junction box physically touching the first coil but oriented at a 90 degree angle.

The 2 coils together create what is called a tuned harmonic that cancels the reactive current coming from the grid and it also captures and recycles a small amount of the stray electromagnetic field that your own house wiring generates and feeds that regenerating cycle back into your working circuit.

In practical terms the 2nd coil means that a significant portion of the magnetic energy that is currently leaking out of every energized wire in your walls and radiating into empty space warming up your drywall for no reason. It gets pulled back and reused.

One woman who had this done went from $291 in a single billing cycle to $28. The first coil did most of the work. The second coil ‘pushed it over the cliff.’

This information was available to people in the 1940s. A bulletin describing how to do this was withdrawn in 1943 is in the Penn State University archives.

It was pulled at the request of the war production board on the grounds that wide spread adoption would reduce copper demand at a time when copper was needed for the war effort. After the war effort the bulletin was not re-issued; it simply vanished.

You don’t need permission from anyone to do this because nothing about adding a passive inductive device to an existing junction box falls under any regulatory authority in any state in the union.

If you want any documentation on what you have done, take a photo of what you have done and put it with the receipt for the copper wire. That is all you need to do.

There is a booklet, The Amish Power System.

$6 Pipe That Gives Free Water Forever

Large barrel has an inlet pipe sending water down through sand and charcoal layers to clear water at the bottom of the barrel. 41,000 gallons of water fall on your roof from rain every year as an average.

Catch the water, store it and use it through your house using gravity instead of pumps. You need ¾ inch copper pipe as the conductor taking water from the roof, taking it through your purification system in your barrel, and delivers by gravity to the kitchen faucet. No Electricity, no pressure tank, no pump. Just water moving downhill in the collection barrel filled with filtration layers.

A cistern holding 1000 gallons of rainwater from the roof has a copper pipe running through the filtration system of washed silica sand, crushed hardwood charcoal and the line runs in the kitchen. EPA has tightened regulations around drinking water. By early 2000s there are new septic and gray water rules.

Homes built before 1980s have a roof, gutter, basement with crawl space. A downspout near foundation drainage. You are 90% on the way to a working water system. Take one downspout and cut it about 4 feet above the ground. Install a first flush diverter that is a piece of vertical pvc pipe with a ball float inside that catches the first 2 or 3 gallons of dirty roof run off and dumps it onto the lawn.

Everything after that first flush is clean rainwater. You will find the flush diverter at a farm supply or hardware store. Run the water from the diverter into a food grade barrel. You can use a 5 gallon plastic barrel from a soda syrup distributer. Put a brass spigot at the bottom of the outside of the barrel. That is your tap.

Here is where the 46 copper pipe comes in for an existing home. Take a 3 foot length of ¾ inch copper pipe you want type L and not type M. There is a real difference. Type L has a thicker wall, roughly 280,000thof an inch on a half inch pipe versus 25,000ths of an inch for type M. This makes a difference on how long the pipe will last.

Drill the pipe with 200 small holes with a 1/8thinch drill bit. Wrap the pipe in food grade carbon felt ($12 a fill). Drop the pipe into a 2ndbarrel of 2/3rds washed silica sand on the bottom and 1/3rdhard charcoal on the top. The bottom end of the pipe should sit exactly 2 1/4thinches above the floor of the barrel.

The beginning of the power company bill in the 1920s: residential persons, lacking the commercial man’s sophistication, cannot bargain intelligently for electricity.
