Occasionally a loom for weaving rugs would be set up in the store so people could see the amount of work that went into the beautiful designs that was done on a hand built upright loom. There was never a ‘book of designs’ for the weavers. These beautiful designs were created from their imagination and traditional dyes.

Even the things we touch and taste are lies. Our old people used to warn us that if we lie, we will make lies grow and they will pile up. The possibilities are there that one day we will have so many lies it will destroy us.

The old people said that if we believe one lie, we will believe another lie. After that we are told other lies and we will accept those lies. We have to be very careful.

Let me recognize and discern things that are not true is a part of the prayer we are supposed to remember when we ask to recognize the truth. Help me not to listen to the lies.

The old people said if we are listening to lies and apply those lies to our lives, then we are ‘living lies’ and our lives will be destroyed by the lies we are trying to live by. We have to be wise enough to discern the lies and determine what is true and not true.
